JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) has consistently continued to improve industrial services through the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) spread throughout Indonesia. Doddy said, through the work unit (Satker) UPT BSKJI, it is hoped that the Ministry of Industry can be more optimal in serving industries throughout Indonesia, especially in the field of calibration testing and certification to support the competitiveness of the domestic industry.

Currently, BSKJI is strengthened by 11 Centers for Standardization and Industrial Services (BBSPJI) and 13 Standards and Industrial Services Centers (BSPJI) spread throughout Indonesia.

One of the activities routinely carried out by UPT BSKJI is Industrial Gathering. For example, BSPJI Banjarbaru which organizes Industrial Gathering activities in 2023 and the Launching of the BSPJI Banjarbaru Halal Examining Agency (LPH), with the theme Syntegrity of Industrial Services towards Strengthening Global Competitiveness.

This year's Industrial Gathering was attended by 80 participants from the mining, agro, food and beverage industry, MSME players, and government agencies in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.

This activity aims to establish communication and inform industrial services provided by BSPJI Banjarbaru to industrial communities in the South Kalimantan and surrounding areas.

According to Doddy, BSPJI Banjarbaru must be able to carry out its duties and functions to provide services to the industrial community, as well as strive to increase service capacity and institutions with integrity and competence to increase the satisfaction of service users.

On this occasion, a cooperation agreement was also established between the Ministry of Industry's BSKJI and the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan.

"The scope of this cooperation agreement includes the development of industrial human resources and the development of industrial competitiveness in South Kalimantan Province," said Doddy.

In addition, industrial technology assistance in the context of industrial development in South Kalimantan Province, monitoring, evaluation, and industrial development, as well as other cooperation, with a validity period of three years.

"With cooperation between government institutions, it is hoped that a harmonious synergy will be realized so that it can improve the competence of industrial human resources and ultimately increase industrial independence and competitiveness in South Kalimantan Province and its surroundings," concluded Doddy.
