JAKARTA Bank Indonesia (BI) reports that the 2023 financial statements have won the title of Unqualified (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Head of the BI Communication Department Erwin Haryono said the positive results were achieved after a performance audit for the past year.

"Bank Indonesia has produced WTP opinions for the last 20 years and is the result of our commitment to realizing good and consistent governance," he said in a press statement today, Thursday, May 4.

According to Erwin, the central bank still adheres to the fulfillment of Bank Indonesia's accountability as regulated in Article 61 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Bank Indonesia Number 23 of 1999 concerning Bank Indonesia.

This regulation has been later amended by the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector.

"Bank Indonesia always strives to improve the implementation of good governance and the quality of financial management in order to maintain credibility as a central bank. The full 2022 BI Annual Financial Report can be seen as attached," said Erwin.
