In order to support the government's program in accelerating the use of battery-based electric motorized vehicles (KBLBB) for road transportation, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) collaborates with Volta, to purchase Volta's electric motor products through credit financing.

Through this collaboration, Bank Mandiri will provide sales services for Volta electric motorcycle products in the Livin' by Mandiri application, namely in the Livin' Sukha feature.

Bank Mandiri Network and Retail Banking Director Aquarius Rudianto said this collaboration is a form of the company's support in realizing government programs, one of which is the use of two million electric vehicles by 2025 with a target of reducing emissions by 29 percent in 2023 and net emissions zero in 2060.

"This collaborative step is part of Bank Mandiri's commitment to becoming an Indonesia Sustainability Champion, with a net zero mission operation target by 2030," said Rudianto in his official statement, Monday, April 10.

Rudianto said this collaboration was realized to provide convenience and accessibility to customers to have electric motors.

" Interested customers can immediately buy products without being bothered, just in one Livin' by Mandiri application and go to the Livin' Sukha feature," he said.

In addition to supporting government programs, Rudianto added, this initiative can be a solution for people who are looking for alternative transportation that is more efficient and environmentally friendly.

"Other complementary products are also launched and can be accessed by customers on the Sukha feature, such as sales of electric motorcycle accessories products in the form of batteries and chargers, Battery Change System Vouchers (SGB), and Electric Motorcycle Rental Vouchers," he added.

Bank Mandiri and PT NFC Indonesia Tbk also offer special offers for Bank Mandiri customers who purchase electric motorbikes at Livin' Sukha in the form of jacket and helmet bonuses for the first 100 customers.

"The public can also take advantage of a discount program of up to 250 thousand for the purchase of Volta electric motorcycles and Volta electric motorcycle accessories, as well as a 50 percent discount program of a maximum of 25 thousand for the purchase of electric motorbike rental vouchers in the Sukha feature of the Livin' by Mandiri application during the program period," said Rudianto.

He explained that Bank Mandiri is optimistic that the disbursement of consumptive loans will grow positively throughout 2023, because it is driven by the trend of public consumption in the motorized vehicle segment, following the expectations of domestic economic recovery which is still continuing and increasing household spending.

"This is also followed by the digitalization of Bank Mandiri which is believed to be able to provide easy access to customers," he said.

Meanwhile, Volta Chief Executive Officer Iwan Suryaputra said that this collaboration between Volta and Bank Mandiri would make people, especially customers, have easier access to Volta electric vehicles.

Moreover, purchase transactions for both Volta electric motors, vouchers, and accessories must be safer because they are carried out through the banking official application, namely Livin' by Mandiri.

"We believe, with good cooperation and a strong commitment between Volta and Bank Mandiri, we can accelerate the transition to the use of electric vehicles in Indonesia," he concluded.
