Waskita Karya Books New Contract Value Of IDR 1.38 Trillion In January 2023

JAKARTA - BUMN Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk. managed to record a new contract value (NKB) of IDR 1.38 trillion in January 2023 or an increase of 139.29 percent YoY.

It is known that most new contracts came from Government projects of 71.93 percent.

The Company's SVP Corporate Secretary, Ermy Puspa Yunita, said that based on project type segmentation, the total NKB was dominated by infrastructure connectivity of 71.93 percent.

"The largest, the Company managed to win a tender for the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road project section 3 amounting to Rp996.82 billion. This is an extension of the Java Trans Toll Road," he said in an official statement quoted on Tuesday, February 28.

In addition to infrastructure connectivity, he continued, the Company also won several project tenders such as the Gunung Djati UIN Campus Development, Bandung amounting to Rp131.71 billion and also a new contract from a subsidiary of Rp249.66 billion.

The company is also still pursuing new IKN projects of up to 20 percent of the total contract value of Rp20.3 trillion which will be auctioned off by the Ministry of PUPR. The request for construction in this IKN is the Company's top priority this year. The company also increases its capabilities with a focus on human resources, value engineering, as well as technology development and digitization through BIM & green construction. On the other hand, Waskita is committed to increasing the application of good corporate governance (GCG) & risk management that is careful in each company line, so that the Company's fundamentals can strengthen further, "added Ermy.

Ermy continued, Waskita is targeting the New Contract Value of IDR 20 trillion in 2023.

"Key sectors with Waskita core competencies such as water, buildings, and roads are expected to be the main contributors to the NKB. We hope this year will be a good start for Waskita to recover, be healthier, and provide more benefits to society at large," concluded Ermy.
