Many Conglomerate-Owned Transmart Outlets Chairul Tanjung Tutup Permanent, Opening Voice Management

JAKARTA - Modern Transmart retail owned by conglomerate Chairul Tanjung has fallen in Indonesia. Throughout 2022, 12 outlets have been permanently closed.

It turns out that this is a management step to prepare a new face or Transmart New Reborn.

This was conveyed by the Vice President of Corporate Communication Transmart Satria Hamid.

He said the company's focus this year is internal consolidation.

"We ensure that for this year we will consolidate internally. Why are we closing? Closed is the last option, after we do a series of store restructuring. This close is for us to run faster, so we look forward to Transmart New Reborn," he told VOI, Friday, February 3.

Later, said Satria, Transmart New Reborn will sell environmentally friendly and energy efficient products.

"And we Transmart will sell products that will become trend centers, namely products that are energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Wait for the play date," he said.

But unfortunately, Satria was reluctant to mention what kind of product he meant.

Even so, he stressed that this Transmart New Rebond will be inaugurated this year.

"Wait for the play date," he said.

Satria said, his party also plans to add new stores this year. However, his party has not been able to confirm when the new store will be opened.

"Yes, we will still open a new shop. But we wait and see first. We are now concentrating in the early trimester is internal consolidation," he said.
