Throughout 2022, The Ministry Of PUPR Rehabilitation And Renovation 83 Madrasahs

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is known to have rehabilitated and renovated 83 madrasas in Indonesia throughout 2022.

A total of 14 madrasas are located in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

The 14 units of work for the rehabilitation and renovation of madrasa infrastructure in NTB Province include West Lombok MTSN 1, Central Lombok MTSN 3, East Lombok MTSN 3, East Lombok 4 MTSN, East Lombok MAN Insan Cendekia East Lombok.

Then, MAN 2 East Lombok, MAN West Sumbawa, MIN 4 Sumbawa, MTSN 4 Sumbawa, MAN 2 Sumbawa, MTSN 1 Dompu, MTSN 1 Bima, MTSN 4 Bima, and MTSN 5 Bima.

"This is a mandate from Presidential Regulation Number 43 of 2019 concerning Development, Rehabilitation/Renovation of People's Markets, Higher Education Infrastructure, Islamic Religious High Infrastructure and Primary and Secondary Education Units," said Director of Strategic Infrastructure of the Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of PUPR Essy Asiah in an official statement, as quoted on Wednesday, January 11.

The rehabilitation of the madrasa is a commitment of the Ministry of PUPR in supporting the improvement of the quality of Human Resources (HR) through the development and rehabilitation of educational facilities.

Related to this, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that the rehabilitation of educational facilities was President Joko Widodo's instruction to the Ministry of PUPR to accelerate the development and rehabilitation of schools, madrasas, and the continuation of Construction in Work (KDP) for State Universities (PTN)/PTKIN throughout Indonesia.

Basuki said that the rehabilitation of madrasas aims to support the government's focus in developing superior human resources (HR).

"We are continuing the construction of educational facilities to support improving the quality of human resources. Take advantage of the facilities that have been built. The next generation must be smarter because the facilities are better," he said.

On the other hand, the Head of the NTB Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW) Ika Sri Rejeki said that the rehabilitation and renovation of madrasa infrastructure in NTB Province had been carried out since June 2022 and was targeted for completion in April 2023.

"Currently, physical progress has reached 50 percent of MYC's contract with a budget allocation of Rp. 60.6 billion sourced from the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023," said Ika.

The rehabilitation work itself is carried out by PTSULE Romauli Raya-PT Bumi Seran (KSO) with a scope of activities in the form of preparation work, structural work, architectural work, electrical work, and building landscape work.

"After the construction is complete, we hope that the community and school managers can pay attention to its maintenance, so that the building can function optimally and the goal of improving the quality of human resources through education can be realized," concluded Ika.
