JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) is again collaborating with Grab Indonesia to realize targets in the tourism sector and the creative economy (parekraf) in 2023.

Sebelumnya, Grab sudah bekerja sama dengan Kemenparekraf melalui jenama harus Indonesia sejak 2018.

The cooperation was re-established through the MoU and the Cooperation Agreement between the two parties which was witnessed directly by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.

"Starting in 2023, I am very proud to be able to see and witness Grab Indonesia's commitment to Grab Indonesia to jointly restore and advance Indonesia's tourism and creative economy in the global arena through the Indonesia Co-Branding partnership program which continues to prioritize innovation, adaptation, and collaboration," Sandiaga said in his official statement in Jakarta, as quoted on Thursday, January 5.

Sandiaga said this collaboration is expected to improve and strengthen brand equity, expand market penetration and range, and share resources that will generate savings in promotion and marketing costs.

They have also given a commitment to Grab Indonesia, this strengthens our branding, so we must continue to encourage it with adaptation, collaboration, and innovation," he said.

On the same occasion, Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Ni Made Ayu Marthini said, Grab Indonesia has been a co-branding partner for Indonesia since 2018.

During this period, Grab Indonesia has initiated many collaboration programs in the progress of the tourism sector and the creative economy, including the activation of domestic campaigns, as well as the promotion and capacity building of tourism human resources and the creative economy through its application services.

Meanwhile, President Director of Grab Indonesia Rizki Kramadibrata stated that his party is ready to continue working with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to support the achievement of the tourism sector target in 2023.

"We have a collaborative space to work together in empowering MSMEs. This is not only the government's job but a shared task, because MSMEs are the backbone of the tourism sector and the creative economy. We have wide access to MSMEs, as well as to tourists," he added.
