Leading In Environmental Processing, Pertamina Borong 20 Gold Proper And Raihan Green Leadership

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) together with several of its subsidiaries won 20 gold Proper category awards by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry also gave an award to Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati as the Main Green Leadership as the company's highest leader whose company received a gold rating.

Pertamina is rewarded by Green Leadership Utama because it is considered to have managed to manage new and renewable energy, manage water responsibly and is available to all, manage natural resources and communities affected by production and service activities, manage waste properly, environments free from pollution, build physical infrastructure to maintain the health of the ecosystem and its communities, and meet the needs of the community in the health sector, treat fairly and not discriminate.

The award of the Proper Gold and Green Leadership was given directly by Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin accompanied by the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) Siti Nurbaya Bakar at the Vice Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta, Thursday 29 December.

In this award, Pertamina group won 20 Proper Gold awards out of a total of 51 companies.

Vice President Maruf Amin said the Proper award is intended to encourage every industrial business activity not only to fulfill environmental regulations, but also to carry out sustainable business practices by implementing a green economy.

I congratulate the company receiving Anugerah Proper, especially the Golden Ranks and CEOs who received the Green Leadership award. The performance of the company that received the Proper Gold proved to be at the forefront of environmental management. These CEOs are an inspiration and motivation for other companies to do the same in order to glorify Indonesia as a world-respected nation and succeed in managing a sustainable environment," said Ma'ruf Amin.

Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar said, there were 3,200 units of companies participating in this event with various ratings, including 51 Golden Ranking companies, 170 Green Ranking companies, 2031 Blue Ranking companies, 887 red-ranked companies, 2 black-ranked companies, and 59 companies cannot be announced because they are still in the process of law enforcement and are no longer operating.

Proper is a government program on the performance of the company's environment for environmental protection and management efforts. The Proper Assessment is carried out by an impactive advisory advisory board consisting of academics and community leaders. With valuation variables that develop over time, year after year that is set and structured conceptually, produces recipients today. Congratulations to the recipients, hopefully, it can be more inspiring for other companies," he explained.

Pertamina Brahmantya Corporate Secretary Satyamurti Poerwadi said Pertamina's success in buying up 20 Gold Propers was a manifestation of Pertamina's commitment to running a business based on environmental awareness.

He added that this achievement is also a form of appreciation and motivation for the subsidiary and other Pertamina operations units to continue to win the Proper Gold award in the future.

"Of course, this award is proof of Pertamina's commitment to running an environmentally-based business and implementing the concept of green industry. This award can also be an attraction and trust in investors to carry out business with Pertamina on a Greenish basis for the development of the business world in the future, not reducing emissions and how we support the government's green programs," explained Brahmantya.
