Netizens Complain The Tariff For Halim Airport Taxis Is More Expensive, Said The Spokesman For The Ministry Of Transportation

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has opened its voice regarding netizen complaints on Twitter social media regarding taxi services at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport which set a higher rate.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation Adita Irawati said the Ministry of Transportation could not immediately decide to follow up on the complaint.

Adita explained that transportation affairs in the Halim Perdanakusuma area must first be coordinated with the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU).

This is because the land at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport belongs to the TNI.

"Because the management there, the land has the Indonesian Air Force, so we can't decide on our own," he told the media crew at the Ministry of Transportation's Office, Tuesday, December 27.

With the complaint going viral on social media, he said, the Ministry of Transportation will communicate with the Indonesian Air Force.

"So what we will definitely discuss later with the TNI as owning land. What we can do is communicate and provide input and continue what is the complaint from the community," he said.

One of the netizens complained about the high taxi fare and the limited choice of transportation mode.

This complaint was submitted by an account with the name @sylvkartika.

He said there were only a few choices of vehicles that could transport passengers after arriving at the airport, namely Puskopau Taxi, Puskopau Grab, and Puskopau Gojek.

According to him, all vehicles in Puskopau have been priced.

Because, in terms of price, it is much different from other transportation options. In fact, asked to pay an additional fee or a surcharge.
