JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) (Hutama Karya) as the official manager will operate the Lubuk Linggau-Curup Bengkulu Section 3 (Bengkulu-Taba Penjung) Toll Road in the near future.

Director of Operations III Hutama Karya Koentjoro said that the 17.60 kilometer (km) length toll road will start operating on Friday this week.
"Without tariff starting Friday, December 23, 2022, precisely at 08.00 WIB," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, December 21.
Koentjoro said that Hutama Karya had previously carried out a Functional Feasibility Test (ULF) on April 13 and 14, 2022 and was tested with functional operation at the time of the 2022 Eid Homecoming, where more than 45,000 vehicles with zero accidents had been passed.
"According to the regulator's direction, we are ready to operate this toll road since receiving the Ministerial Decree. As for supporting its operation, we have prepared facilities and standby personnel, including 101 standby personnel consisting of operational service officers, paramedics and patrols," he said.
Later, continued Koentjoro, a one gate system will be implemented by tapping one time at the Bengkulu Toll Gate (GT) in the Betungan area.
Koentjoro admitted that previously training had been carried out to officers related to diversity, excellent service, emergency handling, and others so that officers were ready to serve Bengkulu-Taba Penjung toll road users.
"Because this toll road is the first in Bengkulu Province, it is necessary to disseminate information to toll road users who pass and currently the tariff has not been set during the socialization period. However, toll road users still have to tap electronic money cards when crossing GT Bengkulu," he explained.
Koentjoro also appealed to road users who want to pass to be able to use toll roads wisely by always complying with the rules that apply on toll roads when passing.
