Visiting Earthquake Victims Of Cianjur, Pertamina Director Nicke Widyawati Leave Assistance

JAKARTA - Pertamina's President Director, Nicke Widyawati, visited the BUMN Task Force Post for victims affected by the earthquake in Cianjur, West Java. During the visit, Nicke also handed over assistance to the victims.

On this occasion Nicke also handed over assistance from Pertamina for victims affected by the Cianjur earthquake. The assistance was received directly by representatives of the BUMN Task Force at the post. The assistance provided is in the form of mineral water, packaged milk, pregnant women's milk, nutritional intake for infants, tea and sugar.

Nicke said, since the beginning of the earthquake disaster in Cianjur that occurred on November 21, 2022, Pertamina has continued to coordinate with various parties, one of which is the BUMN Task Force in efforts to overcome and assist victims.

"Pertamina Group compactly helps earthquake victims, either by distributing aid independently or through collaboration with other parties," Nicke said in an official statement, Tuesday, December 6.

Pertamina Peduli refugee posts in Mekarsari Village serve 910 people, also equipped with various supporting facilities such as tents with electrical installations, public kitchens that provide 1,900 servings of food per day, toilet facilities, health posts and Psychosocial for Children.

The assistance provided by Pertamina received appreciation from Ujang Rahmat, the Head of Mekarsari Village, Cianjur.

"Alhamdulillah, at this time our residents have started to be relieved, the assistance is complete starting from tents, food, logistics and others. I thank Pertamina for helping residents, hopefully Pertamina will be more successful".

A total of 75 state-owned companies participated in sending donations to help victims affected by the Cianjur earthquake, including Pertamina. In addition to distributing aid independently, Pertamina also coordinates and collaborates with various parties to distribute aid, one of which is through the BUMN Task Force.

To note, until December 5, 2022, Pertamina has handed over assistance to victims of the Cianjur earthquake with a total value of IDR 2.6 billion. The assistance provided ranged from basic necessities, medicines, tents for evacuation, safety kits, medical equipment, to bringing health workers and volunteers to Cianjur.

In addition, Pertamina also provided assistance in the form of tubes along with contents of Bright Gas for cooking, fuel for operational vehicles for both the TNI, Polri and volunteers and established a Pertamina Peduli Post in Mekarsari Village, Panembong Kaler Village which accommodated about 694 people at the post.
