Farmers In Gresik And Lamongan Receive 3,000 Conkit Elpiji 3 Kg

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources together with Commission VII of the DPR again distributed 3,006 packages of the first 3-kit LPG converter kits for farmers and fishermen in Gresik and Lamongan, East Java.

Director of Infrastructure Planning and Development, Migas Laode Sulaeman, detailed that 905 packages were distributed to fishermen and 600 packages for farmers in Gresik. Meanwhile, in Lamongan, 499 fishermen received the first package and 1,002 farmers.

This program also has an impact on the fishermen's economy, which can reduce fishing costs for fishermen," Laode said in an official statement, Tuesday, November 15.

Member of Commission VII DPR Dyah Roro Esti assessed that the aid of tools and machinery for converting kits is very useful for the community and therefore must continue to be fought for and strive to increase the number every year.

He also appreciated the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for synergizing well so that it could channel converters kits to the community.

Roro Esti welcomed this program because it could have a direct impact on increasing decarbonization.

"Utilizing gas personnel is the right step in the midst of rising fuel prices in Indonesia," he added.

The use of gas as fuel is also believed to improve the standard of living of people who work as farmers and fishermen.

The distribution of the LPG 3 kg converter kit is a sustainable government program.

This year, the government distributed the first 30,000 packages for fishermen and 30,000 packages for farmers.
