JAKARTA - The performance of PT Angkasa Pura I has not fully recovered from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the losses suffered by the airport manager began to decrease. Until October 2022, the recorded total loss was IDR 813 billion.

The decrease in losses is in line with the increase in passengers at the airport managed by AP I.

President Director of Angkasa Pura I, Faik Fahmi, said that the company's performance had actually recovered.

On a monthly basis, said Faik, the company has recorded a profit from July to October 2022.

This positive growth is expected to continue until December 2022.

Furthermore, Faik said, the reduction in the amount of losses was also the impact of the transformation, restructuring, and programs that had been carried out by AP I previously.

"But what is clear is that from 2022 EBITDA has been positive, cash flow has been positive, net profit is still negative," he said at the BUMN Ministry Office, Jakarta, Monday, November 7.

Still, said Faik, until September 2022 the company recorded a loss of IDR 1.1 trillion. Then the loss decreased in October to IDR 813 billion.

"What is clear is that because our projection is positive (monthly) until Desmeber, the longer it will decrease (the loss)," he said.

On that occasion, Faik also targeted the number of passengers at 15 airports managed by AP I cumulatively by the end of 2022 of 38 million passengers.

"Until the end of October alone, it has reached 43 million. So we project that by December there may be around 50 million passengers per year. Jafi is far above what we plan in the Company's Work Plan and Budget (RKAP)," he said.
