Sandiaga Uno Will Pull A Number Of Investors Such As Qatar And Saudi Arabia To Invest In SEZ Singhasari Malang

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno will attract a number of investors to invest in the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Malang Regency, East Java. Sandiaga, in Malang Regency, Tuesday, October 25, said that to bring in investors to invest in SEZ Singhasari, the creative economy ecosystem in the area must live and can be an attraction for investors. "Investment requires an ecosystem. Once the ecosystem is formed, (investment) will come automatically," Sandiaga said, quoted from Antara. Sandiaga explained that for now the creative economy ecosystem, especially the animated industry sector, has started to run at SEZ Singhasari. He hopes that this ecosystem can begin to attract investors both from within and outside the country. According to him, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will also promote SEZ Singhasari to Qatar, Saudi Arabia and a number of other countries in the near future. Singhasari's SEZ promotion is needed so that the area can be introduced to investors. "We just have to invite SEZ Singhasari for road shows in Qatar and Saudi and there are several other road shows, to attract investors," he said. He hopes that SEZ Singhasari can become one of the instruments to create 1.1 million jobs this year. In addition, it is also expected to help create jobs for 4.4 million people by 2024. He added that in addition to trying to attract investors to invest in SEZ Singhasari, a number of activities will also be held in the area to revive the creative economy. "Events must be reproduced here. Later I will work together and invite Friends of Creative Economy. Maybe, we can plan Road to World Conference of Creative Economy here," he said. On that occasion, Sandiaga also created the Animation and Film Factory (AFF) which was a sign of the readiness to operate by SEZ Singhasari. AFF is one of the business clusters currently being developed at the Singhasari SEZ, namely the content business. AFF currently has about 20 studios with 500 creators, which adhere to core plasma patterns. In the SEZ, there are at least six business clusters, namely education, content, computing, trade, tourism and renewable energy.
