JAKARTA - Director of Investment Planning and Investment at the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Agency (BKPM) Indra Darmawan said he would launch Lestari Investment Guidelines in 2022.
"So we are issuing guidelines to guide business actors, investors, and banks to realize sustainable investment. This guide is planned to be launched this year," he said in BKPM Bincang with Bappenas and Kadin, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, October 25.
With this guide, the understanding of business actors, especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), banks, and investors related to the economic and regional sectors that have met sustainable development indicators is expected to increase.
"We are optimistic that motivation and literacy for sustainable investment can be increased, supported by guidelines containing measuring instruments on sustainable development Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," he said.
He also hopes that business actors, especially MSMEs, will be able to identify their business relationship with the SDGs through the launch of Lestari Investment Guidelines.
According to him, the guidelines compiled with the Earth Economic Coalition have been consulted and tested with the public.
Listia Ezra from the Membumi Economic Coalition said this guide would direct MSMEs to measure 25 parameters related to a sustainable economy covered by four pillars, namely environmental pillars, economic pillars, social pillars, and governance pillars.
He also said that he had carried out socialization related to this guide to more than 7,000 MSMEs. Furthermore, this guide is planned to be socialized to local governments which are expected to help MSMEs identify sustainable businesses.
"Hopefully, Lestari's Investment Guide which was developed together can become a tool used by the government, investors, and business actors to measure the impact and convey the impact of its business on the environment and opportunities that can be explored," he said.
