JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the construction of the Tanjung Snake Port in West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel), has entered its final stage.

Tanjung Snake Port will later become an entry and exit point for transporting crude palm oil (CPO) to tin.

"99 percent has been completed, only in the finishing stage and we hope that with Tanjung Snake Port, the mobility of goods, especially CPOs, especially tins, can be through Tanjung Snake Port," Jokowi said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 20.

"So there is good competitiveness for good products originating from West Bangka Regency and Bangka Belitung Province," Jokowi continued.

The port manager is temporarily carried out by the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), but it can be transferred to the regional government (Pemda).
