JAKARTA - PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) is collaborating with TLT-Turbo Gmbh, a German company engaged in ventilation solutions in the electricity, cement and mining industry. This collaboration is in order to strengthen competence in the field of power generation.

The collaboration was stated in the form of a signing of the Memorandum Of Understanding (MoU) carried out by the two companies on the sidelines of the Indonesia Central and Eastern Europe (INA-CEE) Business Forum 2022 at the Garuda Ballroom Episode Hotel Jakarta on Wednesday, October 19.

The signing was carried out by the Marketing Director of Barata Sulistyo Handoko, Reimund Roeder, TLT Turbo Sales Manager South East Asia and was also witnessed by the Director of Europe II of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Winardi Hanafy Lucky.

Barata Marketing Director, Sulistyo Handoko explained, the cooperation was based on the desire to continue to improve and strengthen the company's position as a manufacturing company that produces qualified power generation components.

Furthermore, Sulistyo explained that the two companies had agreed to cooperate in business to produce equipment fans and provide services within PLN Nusantara Power and Indonesia Power. This includes doing business project development related to the metro tunnel ventation system and mining improvement system.

"Barata Indonesia and TLT Turbo Germany have agreed to synergize in the field of power generation with a projected potential market value of 30 million US dollars. Through the capabilities of both parties, we are optimistic that we can expand the domestic and foreign generation market," said Sulistyo in an official statement, Thursday, October 20.

Sulistyo said, both parties also agreed to support the creation of a business agreement that benefits both parties by providing, providing production facilities in Cilegon by Barata Indonesia, training through a transfer of knowledge scheme by TLT- Turbo, the creation of Manpower Opportunities, and opportunities for collaboration in projects abroad so that they can create export opportunities.

In addition to routinely exporting components of power plants abroad, Barata Indonesia has also begun to focus on working on the domestic market by producing components for national power plants.

Most recently, Barata Indonesia started sending lithic generating components for the Java 9 and 10 (2x1,000 MW) Steam Power Plant (PLTU) located in Banten.
