Angkasa Pura I Transportations 4.4 Million Passengers As Of September 2022

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) said that the company experienced a growth in the number of passengers throughout September 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. "The movement of passengers, aircraft, and cargo at 15 AP I airports in September 2022 experienced significant growth compared to traffic in the same period in 2021. The movement of passengers is also consistently above 4 million passengers per month," said AP I President Director Faik Fahmi in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, October 18. Faik Fahmi said AP I noted that it had served 4,441,620 aircraft passenger movements, 40,637 aircraft movements, and 40,177 tons of cargo movements at 15 airports managed throughout September 2022. Meanwhile, in the same period in 2021, 1,958,964 aircraft passenger movements, 27,906 aircraft movements, and 36,991 tons of cargo movements were served. When compared to the September 2021 period, in the period September 2022, there was a growth in passenger movement by 127 percent, aircraft movements by 46 percent, and cargo movements by 9 percent. According to him, one of these positive records is influenced by the large number of route reactivations and the opening of new routes in September 2022, both for domestic routes and international routes. "In September 2022, there will be 1 reactivation of domestic routes, 12 opening of domestic new routes, 8 reactivation of international routes, and 1 opening of international new routes," he said. Furthermore, Faik Fahmi revealed, AP I has served 36,925,682 aircraft passenger movements, 388,947 aircraft movements, and 339,567 tons of cargo movement during the period January to September 2022. As for the same period in 2021, 15 Angkasa Pura I airports served 18,608,073 aircraft passenger movements, 289,869 aircraft movements, and 308,942 tons cargo movements. When compared with records in the period January to September 2021, in the period January to September 2022 there was a growth of 98 percent for aircraft passenger movements, 34 percent for aircraft movements, and 10 percent for cargo movements. He added that for the period January to September 2022, AP I airport with the highest number of passengers was Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport with a total of 8,186,696 passenger movements, with details of 5,664,091 domestic route passenger movements, 2,480,407 international route passenger movements, and 42,198 domestic transit passenger movements. For aircraft movements, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar serves the highest number with 57,681 aircraft movements, with details of 57,349 aircraft movements for domestic routes and 332 movements for international aircraft routes. As for cargo movements, Jayapura Sentani Airport serves the most cargo movements with 95,753 tons of cargo with details of 95,748 tons of cargo on domestic routes and 5 tons of cargo on international routes.
