WIKA Beton Forms a Special Unit for Handling Markets

JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) this year formed a special unit to handle overseas markets, namely the overseas sales area unit.

"Indeed, this year we are still involved in development projects in the Philippines, but next year there may be targets in the ASEAN region or other countries' areas", said WIKA Beton Marketing and Development Director, Rija Judaswara, as quoted by Antara on Wednesday, September 7.

He said the main thing from acquiring foreign markets is how they win and improve the company's image that WIKA Beton has been recognized abroad.

Not only playing a role in domestic development projects but WIKA Beton is also involved in overseas development projects, namely the Railroad Project owned by the Philippines National Railways (PNR).

WIKA Beton provides project management services by sending human resources who are experts in the field of railway concrete (selling expertise) to the Philippines.

This project was obtained with a strategic alliance in the form of a consortium with two local partners in the Philippines with a consortium contract value of IDR 257 billion which further adds to the portfolio of overseas projects.

WIKA Beton was established as a subsidiary of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, with a vision to become a leading company in the precast concrete product industry in Southeast Asia.

Currently, WIKA Beton is the largest precast concrete producer in Indonesia and even Southeast Asia.

WIKA Beton already has 14 factories and one mobile plant spread across Indonesia which has high growth in the construction industry.

WIKA Beton also has four crushing plants and applies the Engineering Production Installation (EPI) precast pattern.

WIKA Beton has four subsidiaries, namely PT Wijaya Karya Component Beton (WIKA KOBE), PT Wijaya Karya Krakatau Beton, PT Citra Lautan Teduh, and PT Wijaya Karya Pracetak Gedung.
