Bapanas Guyur Pasar Jakarta With Hundreds Of Tons Of Chicken Egg, Price Of Rp. 27,000 Per Kg

JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapana) or the National Food Agency (NFA) will eject hundreds of tons of chicken eggs to five markets in Jakarta to reduce prices. At the same time to control inflation.

This is because Jakarta contributes 25 to 27 percent of inflation nationally.

Head of Bapanas Arief Prasetyo Adi said that 25 tons of eggs will be distributed in traditional markets for the DKI Jakarta area per day in one market.

The price of eggs distributed will be priced at Rp. 27,000 per kilogram (kg) to the hands of consumers.

For your information, the price of broiler eggs distributed by the Food Agency is much cheaper than the current average price of eggs which ranges from Rp. 29,000 to Rp. 30,000 per kg.

"We started market operations, actually from yesterday. Today we are operating a market of maybe 10 trucks per day, approximately 5 percent of the need for eggs in DKI," he said at Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Friday, September 2.

Arief explained the reason why market operations were carried out in five markets in the Jakarta area.

He said this step was taken to emphasize inflation in the area. This is because Jakarta's inflation contribution to the national community is quite high.

"Why was DKI chosen? Because DKI is contributing to inflation of approximately 25 to 27 percent to the national level," he explained.

The operation of this cheap egg market is held in 5 markets in Jakarta, namely Pasar Minggu; Cijantung Market; Kebayoran Lama Inpres Market; Kebayoran Lama Market and Cipulir Vegetable Market. If one day the market gets 25 tons of eggs, then approximately hundreds of tons of eggs will be accepted by the market in Jakarta.

On the same occasion, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan said this market operation would continue until the price of broiler eggs returns to its normal price of Rp. 27,000 per kg.

"There are markets in Jakarta, 25 tons per day. Until later the price will be IDR 27,000-IDR 28,000. Indeed, Jakarta does not have this laying entrepreneur. So taking it if not East Java, yes West Java," said Zulkifli. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Market Traders Association (IKAPPI) Abdullah Mansuri explained that the pattern of distributing chicken eggs to this market is not a separate market operation but will be given directly to market traders. So prices in the market will also decrease too.

"If market operations are sold on the side of the road, there will be no stock of traders. Prices in the market will remain high, then we will enter this into traders," Abdullah said.

Abdullah said, market traders are expected to spend the old stock of chicken eggs first.

If you can stock up new eggs from the Food Agency, it is targeted that next week the price of chicken eggs in the market will fall.

"Please finish it. But we ask that with the goods that we have provided, prices have started to fall. This means that next week it should start to fall," he explained.
