Suahasil Nazara: State Assets IDR 11,400 Trillion Must Give Communities Benefit

JAKARTA Deputy Minister of Finance, Suahasil Nazara, asked state assets that currently reach IDR 11,400 trillion to be optimized innovatively. Hopefully, this step can provide benefits to the community.

This was conveyed by Suahasil during a working visit to Yogyakarta this week.

"If we continue to be creative, then this republic will continue to get new ideas and breakthroughs and create prosperity for the community", he said in a press statement during a speech at The Asset Manager Award event, Saturday, August 27.

"Therefore, I am very happy that the Ministry of Institutions, BLU (General Service Agency), and local governments can continue to create creativity and seek new creativity", he continued.

According to Suahasil, the assets of Rp11,400 trillion are central government assets outside of local government assets. Its existence is spread across all ministries/agencies, including the Public Service Agency (BLU).

Deputy Sri Mulyani also hopes that every government agency can get inspiration from its assets.

For information, The Asset Manager 2022 is a competition for managing state assets in Indonesia organized by the State Asset Management Institute (LMAN), BLU under the Ministry of Finance.

The theme raised is optimizing state assets to support the strengthening of the tourism sector and the creative economy. This is in line with the spirit of strengthening the economy through strengthening strategic pillars.

Including tourism and creative industries which are considered to have a multiplier impact on the community's economy.

The number of participants in The Asset Manager this year is 108 participants representing the state ministries/agencies, BLU, local governments, and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

The Deputy Minister of Finance asked LMAN to increase the number of participants next year again because there are still many potential participants who can participate in these activities.
