Mike Tyson Depression After Losing Against Jake Paul

JAKARTA Former boxer who was once a heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, admitted that he was depressed after losing to Jake Paul.

The confession was made by Iron Mike when speaking with Steve Covino and Rich Davis at Fox Sports Radio. On that occasion, Tyson honestly discussed the emotional challenges he had faced since the fight.

"The fight was a very big climb. We are very excited," he said as quoted by Marca.

"The fight ended and boomed. I was a little depressed. We had to go back to the situation of our lives (days). Back to life. We've been training for nine months," he added.

Tyson and Jake Paul fought on November 15, 2024 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, United States. The clash broke Netflix's record for the highest number of viewers in a live broadcast.

This fight drew a lot of criticism because of the striking difference over between the two. Tyson got into the ring at the age of 58, while his opponent was 27 years old.

According to reports, Tyson earned 20 million US dollars from the event. In addition, there are also allegations of fraud that have surfaced.

According to claims, Tyson has been paid to lose the duel. The allegations arise because Tyson doesn't seem too excited about the fight with YouTubers who just plunged into the world of boxing.

However, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), which organized the event, firmly denied the claim. MVP said the allegations were completely illogical.

"Every boxer can use all of his abilities to win a fight. Any conflicting deal will violate the TDLR (Sex Boxing Licensing and Regulation Department) boxing regulations," they said.

Mike Tyson is one of the best boxers in history. He was once the undisputed world champion and then decided to retire from the professional world in 2005.
