Sri Mulyani Together With The Governor Of BI, OJK And LPS Will Hold A Press Conference, Talking About Broken Inflation?

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, together with Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo, Chairman of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Mahendra Siregar, and Head of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa are scheduled to hold a press conference later this evening.

The information was received by VOI from an internal source at the Ministry of Finance. It was explained that the four strategic agencies would provide explanations related to the results of the periodic meetings of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK).

Meanwhile, the latest issue that is currently happening is the annual inflation (year on year/YoY) which is at the level of 4.94 percent in July 2022. This figure has exceeded the target set for this year, which is a maximum of 4 percent.

The editor considered that the discussion on inflation would be an important point in the meeting, as well as the inaugural introduction of OJK Chairman Mahendra Siregar into the KSSK membership.

Furthermore, it is believed that the Minister of Finance will provide views from the side of the government's fiscal policy. Then Bank Indonesia will explain the steps taken in monetary terms. Meanwhile, OJK and LPS are ready to provide information regarding the condition of the financial services sector.
