According to her, PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) continues to improve by mapping and applying every business opportunity to maintain the symbol of the strength of the postal service which has now been going on for almost three centuries.

"This company must rise because it is already 275 years old. We continue to think about Pos Indonesia's business fundamentals, one of which is digitalization", she said in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday.

Throughout 2021, Pos Indonesia recorded a brilliant financial performance because it managed to score a net profit of IDR 589.7 billion or grew 72.43 percent compared to 2020 which was only IDR 342.1 billion. This achievement has never happened in the last decade.

Choiriana explained that digital transformation was the trigger for reforms ranging from courier services, products, channels, and technology, to the culture at Pos Indonesia. This program is a way for the post to compete with other logistics companies.

According to her, there are three quick ways to encourage the growth of a company, namely build, buy, and borrow. Pos Indonesia chose the borrowing strategy through collaborative actions with various parties in developing business and carrying out transformation programs.

In general, the post is not a digital company because human resources were previously recruited to become officers who incidentally were the administrators who recorded mail deliveries.

"The build strategy is if we have the capability and buy if we have the money, but we don't have these two things, so we choose to borrow", said Choiriana.

The application, which was formed in the middle of last year, aims to answer the challenges of digital courier services that demand fast, cheap, easy, and simple services.

Choiriana said that before there was a digital transformation, postal products were only available for regular delivery, which took longer. However, Pos Indonesia now has instant premium services for sending packages and letters within the city with a maximum time limit of three hours, as well as same-day and next-day delivery services.

In addition, the company has also collaborated with several e-commerce companies, such as Shopee, Tokopedia, and Bukalapak regarding goods delivery services.

PosAja Application! Initially intended for Pos Indonesia digital couriers, then it developed into an application that can also be used by the general public who want to experience the convenience of shopping.

"We have also added this service to the PosAja courier application! which is connected to the marketplace. This application can buy groceries, fashion products, and Gramedia books", explained Choiriana.

PosAja Application! now connected to eight marketplaces, namely Bazara, Beemarket, Bhinneka, Brayamart, Belibenih, Indonesia in Your Hand, Padi UMKM, and Gramedia. This service can only be accessed by people who live in 20 big cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan, and others.

Shortly, the company will also cooperate with online shop DJ.ID so that they can join the PosAja courier ecosystem! and expand the range of these applications to various regions.
