JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan spoke about the various positions he held. As is known, due to the many tasks assigned to Luhut, he is often labeled as 'minister of all affairs'.

In fact, said Luhut, the duties and functions of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment have been stated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) 92 of 2019.

"I want to underline, sir, don't think I'm taking care of everything, sir. I take care of everything in my field and as ordered by the president. .

Luhut then conveyed his duties in accordance with Presidential Regulation 92/2019. Starting from coral reef conservation programs, the Indonesian continental shelf, integrated blue infrastructure, supervision of the 3T Trans-island Road and national toll roads.

Then, Luhut also has the task of managing the Citarum Watershed, Accelerating the KBLBB Program, Geopark, P3DN or Proudly Made in Indonesia (BBI), 5 Super Priority Destinations, handling marine waste, and cooking oil.

Luhut explained that all of those tasks were given by the President. As an assistant to the President, said Luhut, he can only do it.

"So I just carried out the President's orders. Why did the President want to give it? Yes, the President asked. He told me to do it. So that's all," he continued.

According to Luhut, he will not force himself to accept the task given by President Jokowi, if he is not able to carry it out. Moreover, said Luhut, he is not young anymore.

"I'm also not young anymore, 75 years old, so I know myself, so if I can do it, I'll do it," he said.

"But I think that until today, I haven't delivered what the President has given me, I think I can guarantee it to you ladies and gentlemen. Because if I can't I will tell the President, maybe the President will give it to someone else. ," he said.
