According to Waasi B. Sumintardja, Digital Banking Business Product Head, Bank BTPN, there are conditions and situations when digital savvy people need to make transactions in installments so that cash flow is maintained properly. Furthermore, Waasi said that in March 2022, Jenius conducted a survey involving 116 respondents with an age range of 21–40 years regarding the behavior of digital savvy people in making installments.
From the survey, it was found that the three main reasons for making transactions with installments are 38 percent to keep managing cash flow well, 18 percent to reduce the payment burden, and 16 percent to be easy to do.
Furthermore, the two necessities that are most often purchased with installments are 47 percent of electronic goods or gadgets and 10 percent of household furniture. From the results of the same survey, 86 percent of respondents choose the installment method when making transactions on e-commerce and 14 percent at offline stores/merchants.

Other times we regret that we spent some money to buy an item and hope to revise the transactions that have taken place so that the cash flow is messy because of wrong calculations. The Split Pay feature is here as a solution to these pain points so that users can convert existing transactions into installments and maintain cash flow," added Waasi.
There are many types of transactions that users can convert into installments with Split Pay, including: sending money to Jenius, to Bank BTPN accounts, and other banks; withdraw cash with m-Card; transactions with m-Card (offline and online); transactions with Jenius QR; transactions with Jenius Pay; top up e-wallet through e-Wallet Center; purchase of foreign currency; and bill payments (except Zakat & Others).

The next feature is Jenius Pay Installments to help users shop online in installments. Currently, Jenius Pay is available on more than 60 online shopping platforms.
