Good News For Oil Palm Farmers In Jambi, FFB Prices Increase Rp446 Per Kilogram

JAMBI - Prices of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in Jambi have increased significantly. This is clearly good news for oil palm farmers in the region.

In the period 27 May - 2 June 2022, the price of FFB rose by IDR 446 per kilogram. Starting from the price of IDR 2,272 per kilogram to IDR 2,126 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the price of CPO in Jambi rose by Rp. 797 per kilogram. If previously it was sold for Rp. 12,277 per kilogram, now it is Rp. 11,480 per kilogram.

"Meanwhile, the price of palm kernel in this period has increased quite significantly by Rp446 from Rp7,552 per kilogram to Rp7,116 per kilogram," said the Jambi Province FFB Price Determination Committee, Putri Rainun, as reported by Antara, Saturday, May 28.

The determination of prices for CPO, FFB, and palm kernel was agreed by the drafting team in a meeting attended by cooperative entrepreneurs and local oil palm farmer groups. In addition, this price is also based on ministerial regulations and governor regulations.
