Good News! Equivalent To Rp239 Per Share, Astra Spreads Rp9.67 Trillion As A Dividend For Shareholders

JAKARTA - PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) received approval to distribute dividends worth Rp. 9.67 trillion from its performance in 2021. This figure is equivalent to 47.89 percent of Astra's net profit in 2021 of Rp. 20.19 trillion.

The decision was stated in Astra's annual general meeting of shareholders (AGM) which took place today (Wednesday, April 20).

Head of Corporate Communications Boy Kelana Soebroto said the total dividend agreed by the AGMS was equivalent to IDR 239 per share. The amount includes an interim dividend of Rp45 per share or a total of Rp1.82 trillion which has been paid on October 29, 2021.

"So the remaining Rp194 per share or a total of Rp7.85 trillion will be paid on May 20, 2022 to the Shareholders of the Company whose names are recorded in the Register of Shareholders of the Company on May 10, 2022 at 16.00 WIB," said Boy in his presentation.

The AGMS also authorized the Company's Board of Directors to carry out the distribution of such dividends and to take all necessary actions.

Meanwhile, the remaining profit of IDR 10.5 trillion will be recorded as the company's retained earnings.

In addition to agreeing to distribute dividends, the AGMS also appointed new directors and commissioners of the company, including Hamdani Dzulkarnaen Salim as Director, John Raymond Witt as Commissioner, and Stephen Patrick Gore as Commissioner.

Accordingly, the composition of the members of the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners of the Company has changed to:
