JAKARTA - PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk together with the Association of Overseas Apprentice Organizers (AP2LN) has established a strategic partnership through the provision of air flight accessibility in the program sending Indonesian apprenticeship participants abroad.

The strategic synergy of the two agencies was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding 'Corporate Privilege' between Garuda Indonesia and AP2LN which was held on Tuesday, April 5 in Jakarta.

Through this collaboration, Garuda Indonesia is committed to supporting AP2LN activities, particularly in facilitating the provision of air travel tickets at special prices and discounted ticket prices for other international routes for Indonesian Apprentice Participants, employees, employees' families and AP2LN partners.

President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra, said that in the early stages, in line with the focus on placing Indonesian apprentices in Japan, Garuda Indonesia will provide special prices for the Jakarta-Haneda route for apprentices going to Tokyo.

Through this collaboration, said Irfan, Garuda Indonesia also provides added value for flight services in the form of flexibility in ticket changes, including the provision of dedicated check-in counters and PIC sales as well as cargo and charter services for the Garuda Indonesia Group.

Irfan Setiaputra said that in line with the demographic bonus where the composition of the productive age population is getting bigger, Garuda Indonesia always supports various positive actions in order to optimize superior HR management.

Furthermore, Irfan said this was in line with efforts to develop the economic sector and national development amidst efforts to recover from the pandemic situation by providing air accessibility with the flight network owned by Garuda Indonesia.

"AP2LN, which consists of 135 Sending Organizations, will encourage Internship Participants who will go to Japan to use Garuda Indonesia as our joint National Airline," said Firman.

In conditions before the COVID-19 pandemic, said Firman, every year, AP2LN members can dispatch more than 20.000 Apprentice Participants to Japan.
