JAKARTA - Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi monitored cooking oil in a number of modern retailers, namely TipTop Rawamangun, East Jakarta, and Diamond Artha Gading, North Jakarta on Friday 18 March.
In a photo published by the Ministry of Trade, you can see rows of Tropical cooking oil in front of Trade Minister Lutfi. Tropical is a cooking oil produced by PT Bina Karya Prima, a company owned by conglomerate Bachrun Karim.
Monitoring results show that cooking oil and basic necessities (bapok) are available. During the visit, the Minister of Trade Lutfi was accompanied by the Director-General of Domestic Trade, Oke Nurwan, and the Director-General of Foreign Trade, Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana.
"Earlier we saw together, packaged cooking oil had started to return to normal and even overflowed. Based on information from the seller, the number of store requests (service level) for cooking oil needs can be met 100 percent. I also see that the availability is sufficient. Later, if the brand of cooking oil is more and more, the price will decrease according to the competition and the leveling of their market. We will work together. Hopefully, we can come up with a better price in the not too distant future. It is estimated that in the next week the brands will start to come out and the price could be better," said the Minister of Trade.
