Fast Action PAG Solve Power Loss Operational Constraints At Arun Refinery

LHOKSEUMAWE - PT Perta Arun Gas in a short time managed to resolve the disturbance due to a power generator problem at the Arun Refinery, Lhokseumawe, Aceh that occurred since Saturday, March 12 yesterday.

Currently, the electricity supply from the Arun Refinery has returned to normal and the regas facility which is constrained has returned to flowing gas from the LNG regas to all customers, especially to PLN's power plants in Arun and Belawan, North Sumatra.

PAG Corporate Secretary, Hatim Ilwan said, thanks to the synergy and efforts of the fast-moving field team, the power generator at the Arun Refinery was able to run again and gas supply was channeled through the Arun-Belawan Pipeline owned by Pertagas which was used to supply gas to PLN's power plant in Aceh and the Northern Sumatra Region have returned to normal.

"Saturday night, the process for running the equipment at the Arun refinery has been completed. We are also intensively coordinating with relevant stakeholders regarding this matter," Hatim said in an official statement, Sunday, March 13. Hatim added that in addition to ensuring that gas supply to customers goes well, PAG, which is a regasification company that is gassing PLN's LNG, is also committed to always maintaining gas supply in the Aceh and Northern Sumatra Regions is still met.

"We apologize to all parties regarding the impact of the disruption of this power generator which has disrupted the electricity supply in several areas of Northern Sumatra. We are also currently conducting evaluations and strategies so that something like this does not happen again," he added.
