Cooperating With BYD From China, The Bakrie Conglomerate Family Successfully Sells 30 Electric Buses To The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Leader Anies Baswedan

JAKARTA - Anindya Bakrie conveyed a message full of pride and gratitude on all her personal social media pages. The eldest granddaughter of Achmad Bakrie said that her party managed to sell 30 electric buses to be used by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to move people in the city by TransJakarta.

"Alhamdulillah, our VKTR (vector) electric bus, the result of collaboration with BYD (a Chinese engine company) is officially used by Transjakarta. As many as 30 of our buses have been paved in the framework of the target of 100 electric buses used by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government this year", said Anin who quoted Wednesday, March 9.

The daughter of Aburizal Bakrie said that the approach to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has been carried out for the last 3.5 years. To do this, the Bakrie Group first conducts a public test.

Not only with DKI Jakarta led by Anies, but the Bakrie Group collaboration electric bus has also been tested in Bali, Aceh, and Bogor.

"In total, the VKTR bus has been tested for 24,000 kilometers or the equivalent of a road bus to London and back again", she said.

Furthermore, Anindya said, VKTR was not only designed for Jakarta's needs but also to meet the needs of electric vehicles in the Indonesian capital.

Meanwhile, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswdan, said that the use of electric buses was a target for his party to bring Jakarta as a solution to reduce carbon emissions from vehicles. This electric bus project will initially be used on the existing line as a pilot.

"Electric buses are our real action to support the Indonesian government's battery-powered electric vehicle acceleration program", he said in a virtual discussion last week, March 1.

He said the procurement of many electric vehicles was an effort to accelerate the realization of clean mobility for Jakarta.

"So we have also promised to convert our Transjakarta to electric buses. This is our BRT Network", said Anies.
