Investors Must Remember! BRI Distributes Dividends Of IDR 26.4 Trillion, Here's The Schedule

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) or BRI will distribute dividends of IDR 26.4 trillion or equivalent to IDR 174.23 per share. Dividends will be paid to shareholders on April 1, 2022.

The end of the trading period for shares with dividend rights (cum dividend) in the regular market and negotiations on March 10, 2022. Cash market on March 14, 2022.

The start of stock trading without dividend rights (ex-dividend) in the regular market and negotiations on March 11, 2022. Cash market on March 15, 2022.

"Cash dividends will be distributed to shareholders whose names are recorded in the register of company shareholders and/or owners of company shares in securities sub-accounts at PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) at the close of trading on March 14, 2022 (recording date)," explained management. BRI in an official statement, quoted Monday, March 7th.

Meanwhile, BRI's dividend distribution of IDR 26.4 trillion is 85 percent of the total net profit in 2021 which will reach IDR 31.06 trillion.

"The dividends to be distributed will reach IDR 174.23 per share, an increase of 76.77 percent from the 2020 dividend which reached IDR 98.9 per share," said BRI President Director Sunarso.

BRI is ready to distribute dividends of IDR 26.4 trillion because the company's liquidity or loan to deposit ratio (LDR) is adequate, reaching 83 percent and the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) reaching 25 percent.

"BRI's liquidity and capital are strong, so even though the dividend is quite high, it can support growth this year and next year," said Sunarso.

Meanwhile, 15 percent of the profit or around IDR 4.69 trillion will be used as a retained balance.

Furthermore, in addition to dividends, the company will also buy back BBRI shares of IDR 3 trillion. This buyback is done to increase the share ownership of the workers and motivate them to provide the best value to the company.
