Appoint New Directors And Commissioners, Bank Led By Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi's Son Is Ready To Capture The Potential Of The Sharia Digital Economy

JAKARTA - After being left by two of its directors, PT Bank Aladin Syariah Tbk (BANK) immediately held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (EGMS). As a result, the bank, which is led by the son of Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, appointed new directors.

The new director of Bank Aladin is Mayang Ekaputri. Previously, Mayang served as Group Head Finance & Strategy as well as Acting. Aladin Bank Corporate Secretary (2021-2022), Senior Vice President Treasury Finance at HSBC Indonesia (2011-2021) and Assistant Vice President Product Control at Credit Suisse Singapore (2006-2010).

Not only that, the company also appointed Rudy Hamdani as President Commissioner (Independent). Rudy Hamdani has a track record in financial institutions such as Director of Consumer Banking BII (2000-2007), Director of Consumer Banking OCBC NISP (2007-2013), and also Vice President Director of PT Sequis Life Insurance (2017-2018).

As is known, Muhammad Riza and Basuki Hidayat submitted their resignation from the position of directors of Aladin Bank. Both of them officially resigned along with the implementation of the EGMS today.

Aladin Bank President Director Dyota Marsudi said the decision of today's meeting is effective as of the closing of the company's EGMS. "This change in the board of directors is Aladin Bank's commitment to maximize the potential of the sharia digital economy in Indonesia," said Dyota in an official statement, Thursday, February 10.

According to Dyouta, the potential of the sharia digital market in Indonesia is still very wide to work on and with the ecosystem currently owned by Aladin Bank, it will expand financial education and inclusion in Indonesia.

"We believe that the current management structure can further strengthen the company's performance going forward," he said.

Dyota added, changes in management are commonplace in the company's organizational structure with the hope that the diversity of backgrounds possessed by each management can foster positive collaboration for the performance of Bank Aladin.
