Sri Mulyani Brings Good News, 2021 State Revenue Surplus Rp259 Trillion: This Is An Ultimate Recovery

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said that the total state revenue throughout 2021 had exceeded the target set in the 2021 State Budget Act.

In her records, the realization of state revenues throughout last year reached Rp2,003,1 trillion. This number is 21.6 percent or Rp259.5 trillion higher than the ceiling of Rp1,743.6 trillion.

"This is a complete recovery and recovery," he said when holding the first face-to-face press conference in 2022.

The Minister of Finance added that this positive result could not be separated from the steady performance of various sources of state revenue. In his explanation, the state treasurer explained that tax revenues posted Rp1,277.5 trillion from a ceiling of Rp1,229.6 trillion.

Then, customs and excise revenues were realized Rp269 trillion from the Rp215 trillion ceiling. And the last one is Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) of Rp452 trillion, or an increase of 31.5 percent from the ceiling of Rp298.2 trillion.

Meanwhile, the state expenditure sector recorded a realization of Rp2,786.8 trillion or higher than the target of Rp2,750 trillion.

"State spending is dominated by central government spending through ministries and institutions," said the Minister of Finance.

In general, the realization of the 2021 APBN recorded a deficit of Rp440.2 trillion, equivalent to 4.65 percent of gross domestic product. This achievement is better than the Law on the State Budget which amounted to Rp1,006,4 trillion or 5.7 percent of GDP.
