Along with the improving health situation, thereby regenerating people's confidence to return to their activities, the trend of economic recovery is becoming increasingly clear. Economic growth in Quarter III-2021 was 3.51 percent (yoy). Fundamentally, from the internal side, namely the consumption, investment, and export side, positive growth has begun again.

"In Indonesia's G20 Presidency which has just begun, Indonesia will encourage active contributions to strengthen the post-pandemic global health architecture. And WHO wants by the end of this year, we as a G20 country will reach 133 million people who have received a second vaccine this December," said Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, at the Joint Side Event of the Sherpa Track and Finance Track of the Indonesian G20 Presidency entitled " Empowering Business Collaboration”, in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 15.

Coordinating Minister Airlangga also said that Indonesia's economic fundamentals tend to be good compared to other developing countries, with a relatively low level of vulnerability. This is demonstrated by good governance, maintained debt, and quite high foreign exchange reserves.

“The government has done three things, fiscal policy by the Ministry of Finance, monetary policy by Bank Indonesia, and structural reforms. These are three things that are appreciated by various institutions in the world, and this will also support economic growth in 2022," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.

Indonesia's G20 presidency, which began on December 1, 2021, is an opportunity for Indonesia to make a faster economic recovery, together with the recovery of all countries in the world, by demonstrating Indonesia's leadership in responding to various international challenges. Of course, the national interest is also the concern of the Government of Indonesia, namely realizing an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable economic recovery.

In the series of the G20 Presidency, Indonesia has held the First Meeting of the G20 Sherpa Track on 6-8 December 2021 in Jakarta, followed by the First Meeting of the Deputy for Finance and Central Bank Level (Finance Track) on 9-10 December 2021 in Bali.

“This working lunch, which was attended by around 100 businessmen, is the third meeting. Hopefully in today's meeting there will be more concrete results. In the future, there needs to be a prototype if we can produce red and white vaccines, can we be donors to other countries, so that we can take action. Then, we are also running programs to overcome poverty and financial inclusion, which will later be transferred to other countries," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.

In line with current conditions, the G20 Indonesia Presidency has the theme "Recover Together, Recover Stronger" or "Recover Together", and carries 3 Main Topics, namely Global Health Architecture, Digital-based Economic Transformation, and Energy Transition. The three main topics will become areas of cooperation, which have the potential to produce pro-people, more concrete, and applicable policy recommendations.

“To achieve concrete results, especially regarding the three main topics, we need an Action Plan with all relevant stakeholders, especially from the business world. Especially from KADIN and all Business Associations and their active roles in B20," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.

Through the three main topics of the G20 Indonesia Presidency, it is hoped that next year's G20 Summit can issue recommendations in the form of the G20 Comprehensive Action Plan for Recovery and Business Partnership as one of the deliverables.

"The most important thing is that the benefits of implementing the G20 are expected to be felt by the wider community. The business community in B20 is also expected to be able to make various interesting activities for the community," concluded Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
