JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri asked her cadres who were not strong enough to be disciplined in the party's ideals to resign immediately. Because according to Megawati, resigning was more honorable than being fired by the party.

This was conveyed by Megawati in her political speech during the PDIP 52nd Anniversary celebration at the Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Friday, January 10.

The warning was also delivered exactly 25 days after PDIP announced the official dismissal of Joko Widodo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution on December 16.

"Now it's done, for those who don't like it here, step back, wae, that's it, lo, so at least there is such honor, lo, rather than being fired," said Megawati.

"That's why I say that now every time I say that, yes, it's okay, people are no longer happy, really, they are told to hang out (at PDIP, ed)," he continued.

According to Megawati, the ideals at PDIP have been fighting for the people. For cadres who don't like it, please leave the party bearing the white-nosed Bull.

"If you don't like PDIP, get out, because I know, in PDIP what is there is the essence of struggle. You think that if you don't like this, what I teach you, do you think, you will be able to trick us? Not necessarily. It can be unclear," he said.

Megawati in her speech also asked the PDIP elites not to be trapped in their comfort zones, but to continue to be with the people and feel the difficulties of the little people as ordered by the party.

He said it was not that PDIP cadres should not live more prosperously, but not because they were too proud with new welfare, so they no longer wanted to come down and defend the small people.

"Remember, remember, your people. You are a party, lo, not a company, lo. Elo if you want a company, please (out) wae," said the chairman of the BPIP Steering Committee.

"Ethicals, morals, and conscience must be a unit of footing in every decision," he concluded.
