Minister Of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo Will Not Play In Handling Corruption Cases At The Ministry Of Agriculture

JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo stated that he would not play around in handling corruption in the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) as an effort to strengthen the agricultural sector in the country.

While attending the commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), Jakarta, Monday, December 13, Minister of Agriculture Syahrul said it was just stupidity and laziness to read the rules, for those who still want corruption, they don't want to learn. According to him, the wrong people (corruption) are those who violate the SOP.

"Hakordia, is a warning for people who are still corrupt and a reminder to learn from what has happened so far. So this is not a joke. Because the Ministry of Agriculture wants to be the best in this country," he said at the Harkodia commemoration of the Ministry of Agriculture with the theme "Realizing Agriculture Forward, Independent, and Modern Without Corruption", reported by Antara.

On this occasion, the Minister of Agriculture officially launched the Golden Broth application (Community Electronic Complaints Channel) and the Agricultural Gratification Information System (SIGAP-UPG) as a real effort to increase the effectiveness of preventing, handling and eradicating corruption within the Ministry of Agriculture.

Through the Kaldu Emas application, the public can convey violations and/or dissatisfaction with the Ministry of Agriculture's services.

This application is also used as feedback for leaders within the Ministry of Agriculture on the implementation of main programs/activities and agricultural services.

It is hoped that this application can encourage community involvement in preventing and eradicating corruption in the implementation of agricultural programs/activities and services

While the Sigap application is a means of providing convenience for all leaders and all employees of the Ministry of Agriculture in reporting non-service and official gratuities receipts.

This application was built in order to increase the effectiveness of gratification management within the Ministry of Agriculture with an online gratification reporting feature for users. This application is also a system to help the Ministry of Agriculture's Gratification Control Unit (UPG) to manage gratification reports more easily and quickly.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Alexander Marwata who was present at the event said Hakordika was a warning that the Indonesian nation was still a country with a high level of corruption.

"This is not a celebration, but a warning that our nation is still classified as having a high level of corruption. Why? For a country with a low level of corruption there is no warning like this. In Singapore there is no such thing because it is already good," he said.

He said that Hakordia commemorates every year to awaken the nation's children.
