Synergizing Business, Regarding The Official Game Acquired By INDOESPORTS

JAKARTA - INDOESPORTS officially acquired an online media startup called 'Seputar Game' in early December 2021. This is one of the opening ways for INDOESPORTS to expand its wings in the Esports industry. In line with INDOESPORTS, 'Seputar Game' is also a medium that focuses on sharing information about video games, of course including Esports.

The media, which has an official domain address of www.seputargame.com, presents information with a fairly broad spectrum, even covering the manufacturers of legendary game consoles such as Nintendo, SEGA, and others.

"This acquisition is the first step of INDOESPORTS' expansion into the media industry, which we previously planned in 2022, can actually happen earlier," said INDOESPORTS CEO Michael Lim in a statement, Monday, December 13.

The choice of 'Around the Game' was not without a strong reason, Michael saw that 'Around the Game' was able to help drive INDOESPORTS' business maneuver.

"We consider that Seputar Games has a large enough potential to be developed further, such as developing towards a more commercial business, which is also our dream at INDOESPORTS," he continued.

The acquisition of 'Seputar Game' at the end of the year is an early kick-off of INDOESPORTS' long-term goal of business and content expansion in 2022. In the future, INDOESPORTS will continue to look for partners in expanding the Esports fan market in Indonesia. Subsequent acquisitions are one of the priorities to be achieved.

As is known, now the esports trend is on the rise. Currently, Indonesia is the country with the largest number of gamers in Southeast Asia.

In 2017, there were 43.7 million gamers in Indonesia who spent a total of 880 million US dollars, making Indonesia ranked 16th worldwide in terms of revenue from the Esports sector.
