I'm Well! Laid-off Workers Can Get 6 Months BLT Starting Next Year

JAKARTA - The government is known to be preparing a new social assistance scheme in the form of cash debt (BLT) for workers who have been laid off. The information was reported by the indonesiabaik.id page, an official channel under the management of the Ministry of Communication and Information.

It is stated that the cash assistance scheme for 'victims' of layoffs is a Job Loss Guarantee (JKP) program which is planned to be launched from February 2022. Meanwhile, this policy is contained in Government Regulation (PP) Number 37 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of the Job Loss Guarantee Program.

He said, people who are entitled to facilities in this program must be active as participants BPJS Employment or BP Jamsostek while still a worker. Later, they will receive cash assistance for six months from the government starting after being terminated.

It should be noted that BP Jamsostek requires that the beneficiary be a person who has paid contributions for at least 12 months in the last two years. Or, six months in a row before the termination of employment (PHK).

The following are some of the detailed requirements of the Job Loss Guarantee program (JKP).1. Indonesian Citizen (WNI)2. Has not reached the age of 54 years 3. Workers in PK/BU Medium and Large Scale Enterprises who have participated in four programs (Work Accident Insurance, Death Insurance, Old Age Security, and Pension Security)4. Workers in Small and Micro Scale PK/BU with a minimum of 3 programs (Work Accident Insurance, Death Insurance, and Old Age Security)5. Registered as a Wage Recipient Worker in the JKN BPJS Health Program Business Entity

According to VOI records, the government has prepared a social protection budget (perlinsos) in the 2022 State Budget of IDR 252.3 trillion. This budget is included in the National Economic Recovery (PEN) scheme for the period next year.

The 2022 Perlinsos fund, which amounts to hundreds of trillions, also includes the pre-employment card budget for the upcoming term of Rp. 11 trillion, or equivalent to 4.3 percent of the provided ceiling.
