Digital Economy Is A Solution To Reinvigorate Economy During COVID-19 Pandemic

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, the Indonesian House of Representatives, and Digital TV held a Live Streaming Seminar with the theme "Digital Economy is a Solution to Reinvigorate the Economy during the COVID-19 Pandemic". This seminar was filled by several speakers and presenters.

This event began with a speech from Hasyim Gautama as the Director of Governance and Public Communications Partnership regarding information on government programs regarding skill improvement. After that, it was continued by Slamet Aryadi as Member of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives who expressed hope for every community to comply with health protocols.

Then continued by the second speaker, namely Salman Al Farisi as an MSME actor who shared his lessons and experiences. The material presented was about MSME activities during the COVID-19 period, almost all economic activities in the digital internet-based world.

"There are several MSME problems in the digital era such as capital, marketing, products, innovation, use of technology, management skills, leadership, and bookkeeping," said Al Farisi, quoted Monday, December 6.

MSMEs in the digital era must have several competencies, namely complex problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, people management, coordinating with others, emotional intelligence, saving orientation, and cognitive flexibility.

"From some of these points, they have goals, namely investment, learning technology, upgrading skills, etc. Therefore, in order for us to develop, we must plan and then work on it," added Al Farisi.
