JAKARTA - China has become the main export destination for various commodities, both oil and gas and non-oil and gas from the Province of East Kalimantan (Kaltim), in October 2021 exports to the bamboo curtain country reached 1.44 billion US dollars.

Overall, East Kalimantan's exports in October 2021 amounted to 2.91 billion US dollars, an increase of 21.35 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 2.40 billion US dollars.

In addition to China, non-oil and gas exports from East Kalimantan in October included India and Malaysia, which recorded a value of 233.77 million dollars and 201.07 million dollars, respectively.

The role of the three countries in East Kalimantan's non-oil and gas exports reached 64.67 percent of the total non-oil and gas exports in October 2021 which reached 2.66 billion dollars.

"The largest percentage increase in the value of non-oil and gas exports in October 2021 when compared to September, occurred in the value of exports to the USA, China and Malaysia which reached 112.40 percent, 64.73 percent and 44.87 percent.
