Waiting For The Powerful Effect Of The Prabowo 'Gibran TKN Luxury Team Containing Entrepreneurs And Three Children Of The Former President

The 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) has finally been confirmed to involve three axes, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The three of them have registered with the General Elections Commission (KPU) which closed on October 25. But so far only two couples have announced the complete structure of the winning team ahead of the presidential election campaign period on November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024.

The Prabowo-Gibran pair announced the winning team on Monday (6/11/2023), chaired by Rosan Roeslani. The National Campaign Team (TKN) contains 270 people and is said to be one of the most luxurious because it is filled with a number of big names. The winning team structure consists of guidance, directors, advisors, experts, to volunteer coordinators.

"With the permission of Mr. Bakawapres and our chairman, we were asked to read the composition of the TKN KIM pair Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka," said Secretary of TKN Prabowo-Gibran Nusron Wahid in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Monday (6/11/2023).

TKN is decorated with officials, retired generals, and entrepreneurs. Several officials who are also high-ranking political parties are Airlangga Hartanto, Zulkifli Hasan, to Luhut Pandjaitan.

In addition, there are also quite a number of former TNI-Polri, ranging from the former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs and the Commander of ABRI Wiranto to former Indonesian Minister of Defense Agum Gumelar.

Meanwhile, in the row of rulers, Rosan Roeslani himself became the chairman of TKN, Aburizal Bakrie, cosmetic entrepreneur Putri Kuswisnu Wardani, mining entrepreneur Hashim Djojohadikusumo, and others.

A political observer from Populi Center, Usep S.Ahyar, said that the reason for the timses is often filled by entrepreneurs because of the network they have. He emphasized that the urgency of the success team is an effort to build victory through the network.

Because according to Usep, there are three aspects that can be a requirement for victory, namely capital for presidential and vice-presidential candidates to advance, capital, and network capital.

"So I think this timses was chosen by someone who can move the network and capital," said Usep.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of the National Young Entrepreneurs Volunteers (Repnas) Anggawira said the reason many entrepreneurs were included in the winning team was because they had flexibility.

The reason why many entrepreneurs enter the timses is because they are free, not bound, so they are more flexible. Because this winning team cannot be filled with active ASN or TNI-Polri. That is why entrepreneurs look more active in the campaign team," Anggawira told VOI.

Furthermore, Anggawira expressed his enthusiasm and hope that this political contestation must be understood by competing philosophy to be side by side with the same ultimate goal. Because in the end, the common goal in political contestation is to realize a better Indonesian economy.

'Being opposite in politics is normal, because basically we compete to be side by side later,' Anggawira added.

"We must unite, we must not be divided because the next challenge is economic development to become a common homework. How can Indonesia get out of the middle income trap, how to continue the downstream program that has been initiated severely by President Jokowi and in the end, how can the global competitiveness ranking continue to rise," said Anggawira.

Furthermore, the man who also serves as Secretary General of the Central Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPP HIPMI) also appreciated KIM's move to appoint Gibran as the prospective Vice Presidential Candidate. Moreover, Gibran has a background as an entrepreneur so that his presence is expected to be in favor of young entrepreneurs.

Gibran is a representation of young people, generation Z and millennials. He was born in a transitional era and raised post-reformed. The existence of Gibran opens up opportunities, because there is privilege as the president's son," said Anggawira.

"But this privilege should not always be viewed as negative. Because it still has to compete, it doesn't mean because the official's son will eventually win," he added.

Another striking thing about TKN is the existence of three names of the children of the former president. They are Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Ibas) the son of former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), and Siti Hediati Suharto (Titiek Suharto), the daughter of former President Suharto. Not to mention Kaesang Pangarep who served as chairman of PSI as well as Jokowi's youngest son.

Seeing this phenomenon, the founder of the KedaiKOPI Survey Institute, Hendri Satrio, said that the popular names in TKN were promotional events to attract the public.

"TKN is also at the same time promotion expected with the image of many figures, the public thinks this is a very strong couple so that it can increase the electability power," said Hendri to VOI.
