SOLO - The Central Java Provincial Government is starting to make preparations for the Christmas and New Year holidays at the end of next year.

"We have just tried the simulation, coordinating with the central government to determine whether there are restrictions or not," said Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo in Solo, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, October 26.

Ganjar said whether or not there were restrictions on road access, local governments remained alert to face a surge in community activity during the year-end holidays.

"When there are (regions, ed) entering level 1 or 2, we remain alert. Public places that are opened do not mean they are free," he said.

Later, related officers, continued Ganjar, will continue to carry out patrols to ensure people are active while maintaining health protocols.

"The small team has prepared models for those (people, ed.) who will travel," he said.

Related to this, Ganjar advised the public to stay at home during Christmas and New Year.

Regarding the readiness to face the estimated third wave of COVID-19, he asked the public to continue to obey the health protocols.
