JAKARTA - Blizzard Entertainment has announced that they will not host the 2024 BlizzCon event, Blizzard's annual event which has been taking place since 2020.

"After careful consideration over the past year, we at Blizzard have made the decision not to detain BlizzCon in 2024," the company wrote in an announcement on its official website.

However, the gaming company assured that this year's BlizzCon will not be the last, and this event will still be back in the years to come.

Blizzard also pledged to share more details about their upcoming game later this year, including the World of Warcraft: The War Within and Diablo IV's first expansion, Vessel of Hater, in the next few months.

"To celebrate this upcoming release and to unite our community in new and special ways, we will soon share some interesting plans for exhibitions and other industrial trade conventions such as Gamescom," he added.

Not to forget, Blizzard will also still be holding its esports tournament, Overwatch Champions Series at Dreamhack Dallas and Dreamhack Stockholm. Meanwhile, to celebrate Warcraft's 30th birthday, there will be several private celebration events around the world, along with in-game celebrations across the franchise.
