Police Check Malang Mayor Sutiaji About Gowes Violating Health Protocol This Week

SURABAYA - The East Java Police will examine the Mayor of Malang, Sutiaji, regarding the alleged violation of health protocols when cycling or riding during PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions) level 3 at Kondang Merak Beach.

"Yes, that's right, an examination will be carried out (to the Mayor of Malang)", said the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko, confirmed, Tuesday, October 5.

However, Gatot did not mention the time of summoning Sutiaji. He just confirmed the examination will be carried out this week.

"What is clear is this week, but the day the investigation team has not received an update", he said.

According to him, the summons was not only addressed to the Mayor of Malang but also several other people.

"There is also no information about who will be taken for information. I still ask the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (East Java Police)", he said.

Previously, several elements of the community reported the violation of this ride to the Malang Police. Nine people were reported, including Mayor Sutiaji, some staff, ASN (State Civil Servant) to the Malang City Head.
