Police Involved in the Circulation of Vape Narcotics Getar in Bireuen Aceh Fired for Disrespecting

JAKARTA - The Aceh Police stated that the police officers involved in the circulation of narcotic drugs of the cartridge or vape getar containing etomidate in Bireuen Regency had been dismissed dishonorably (PTDH) or fired.

Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police, Kombes Joko Krisdiyanto, said the police had the initials RF. RF's dismissal was based on the results of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial.

"Based on the results of the KKEP trial, the police officer Abripda RF was sentenced to PTDH sanctions," said Joko Krisdiyanto as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 13.

RF was arrested in the disclosure of a narcotics case in Bireuen Regency on July 25, 2026. During the arrest, evidence in the form of 142 units of cartridge or vibrating vape was also secured.

The results of the North Sumatra Regional Police Forensic Laboratory, the evidence of the vibrating vape was found to contain etomidate which is included in Group II Narcotics.

In addition to imposing the PTDH sanction on RF, the Aceh Police also imposed sanctions on Ipda FJ related to the implementation of the task of arresting drug perpetrators in Bireuen Regency.

In carrying out this task, said Joko Krisdiyanto, Ipda FJ was judged to have taken actions that were not in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) in the form of being less careful in taking police action.

This action resulted in the occurrence of a recoilless bullet that resulted in one person dying, who was later found to be a TNI member serving in the Subden Pom Bireuen on behalf of Pratu Galuh Nugraha.

"Ipda FJ was given an administrative sanction in the form of demotion for 10 years," said Joko Krisdiyano.

The middle-ranking police officer reminded that as directed by the Aceh Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Ruddi Setiawan, all personnel of the Aceh Police and its ranks should not try to use, let alone be involved in the circulation of any type of narcotics.

Any personnel who are proven to be involved in the abuse or circulation of narcotics will face firm sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations, including PTDH.

The Aceh Police will also periodically examine personnel, both through urine tests and examinations of the vapes used. This step is part of an effort to ensure that there is no abuse of narcotics in the internal environment of the National Police.

"Anyone who is proven to have abused narcotics will be dealt with firmly, even if there are personnel involved. So, no one should try to play with narcotics. The penalty will be fired," said Joko Krisdiyanto.
