Mataram Police Arrest Student Murderer in Gomong

MATARAM - The Mataram City Police (Polresta) in West Nusa Tenggara, arrested a suspected perpetrator in a case of death leading to an alleged murder of a female student with the initials NDR who died unnaturally in her dormitory room in the Gomong area.

"Yes, that's right. One perpetrator was caught today in the Mataram City area. He is a murderer, a murderer," said Head of the Mataram Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP I Made Dharma Yulia Putra, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 29.

Regarding the identity of the suspected perpetrator, Made Dharma stated that his party had not revealed it to the public, however, he ensured that the suspected perpetrator had no romantic relationship or family with the victim.

"It has nothing to do with the victim. The motive will be conveyed later," he said.

From the preliminary examination, Made Dharma said that the suspected perpetrator also carried out similar actions, namely the alleged murder in two other locations.

"There are two more crime scenes, he is a stabbing perpetrator, one of them in front of the TVRI office," he said.

Furthermore, Made Dharma asked for time to reveal it in full, considering that the new arrest took place today.

"For the complete one, we will announce it officially," he said.

Regarding this arrest, the lawyer for the NDR family, Lalu Anton Hariawan, expressed his appreciation for the police's performance.

"Alhamdulillah, finally the long struggle of investigators and the team to uncover the NDR murder case has borne fruit," said Lalu Anton.

The student from Jereweh, West Sumbawa Regency, was first found dead by a cousin along with his partner who had just arrived from Jakarta on Sunday evening.

The two witnesses found the NDR's body already lying stiffly in the dormitory room with the door locked.

In the course of the investigation, the police have been recorded as having examined witnesses, experts, processed the crime scene, CCTV around the location, autopsy, and requested support for examination from the National Police Forensic Laboratory Center.

The case of NDR's death went viral on the internet. Various support came from various circles with the hope that the police could immediately reveal the actual facts of NDR's death.
