Lawyer for Bripda MCG denies his client raped a student, there was an agreement to pay for body relations

MATARAM - The Information and Technology (IT) Unit of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, with the initials Bripda MCG (22), through his lawyer, denied committing immoral acts against a female student with the initials PS (21) who was the reporter in the case.

"We as lawyers convey that our client denies raping the reporter, the woman who is still a student," said Abdul Kasim, lawyer for Bripda MCG in Mataram, Friday, July 17, reported by ANTARA.

He emphasized that Bripda MCG denied the allegations of the reporter, who now made him a suspect and was detained at the NTB Police Dittahti Detention Center, by showing facts that had not been revealed in the investigation of the NTB Police Ditres PPA-PPO.

"So, until now the family and Bripda MCG have hidden facts that have never been revealed during the investigation process, it is related to the existence of an agreement between Bripda MCG and the reporter to have sexual relations," he said.

This fact was shown by Abdul Kasim as a lawyer in the form of a copy of the conversation between the two parties through a written message on one of the social media applications.

"In this conversation there was an agreement for the reporter to ask for payment, there was a word to pay and so on," he said.

From his client's confession, the reporter asked for a fee of Rp500 thousand and there was a request for additional money to be sent via bank transfer.

From the conversation on social media, the reporter also sent several photos of himself without clothes to Bripda MCG in a one-look mode.

"So, through this fact, we will present it at the time of the next investigation process," said Abdul Kasim.

He believes that by showing these facts to the investigators, the elements of the crime of rape related to Article 473 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code cannot be fulfilled.

"So, the issue that is currently circulating related to the news of rape and the reporter is pregnant because our client, we can underline that it is not true and it is wrong," he said.

Abdul Kasim said his client had a serious relationship after having sex with the complainant in mid-February 2026.

"That was only once during the relationship. The incident was in the room of our client's boarding house in the Ampenan area. It should be noted, if there is indeed an element of coercion, rape, there are 25 rooms, there is no commotion, which means they do it on a mutual basis," said Abdul Kasim.

The determination of Bripda MCG as a suspect was first revealed from the statement of the Director of Women and Children Protection and Eradication of Human Trafficking (PPA-PPO) of the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Ni Made Pujawati. This determination was followed up by being detained at the NTB Police Dittahti Detention Center.

This case first came to public attention due to information from an anti-sexual violence activist in NTB who is also the Head of the Mataram Child Protection Agency (LPA), Joko Jumadi.

Through the statement of the lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Mataram University, Bripda MCG was reported by a female student for alleged rape and sexual violence (TPKS).

The student admitted that she was a victim of sexual violence after receiving threats from the alleged perpetrator.

"The threat was verbal. It happened in the Ampenan area, in the hostels, the report was on February 23, 2026," said Joko.
