JAKARTA - The mutual disclosure of fellow politicians in the alleged corruption case is considered a good momentum to uncover cases that have not been touched.

This was conveyed by the former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam), Prof. Mahfud MD regarding the issue of mutual hostage-taking among law enforcement officials.

Mahfud said that the action of mutually uncovering various alleged corruption cases in President Prabowo's circle was a very pleasing action.

"People close to Mr. Prabowo are hostile, then they mutually expose corruption, good. If each party mutually opens up allegations of corrupt practices, this can actually become a momentum to uncover cases that have not been touched so far," said Mahfud MD.

Mahfud's statement was made following a series of events that have been in the public spotlight recently.

After Brigadier General (Brigjen) Police Lalu Muhammad Iwan Mahardan was named a suspect in the alleged corruption case of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, now it's the police's turn to move.

The police searched a cafe suspected of being related to money laundering (TPPU) from alleged corruption in the PLN coal supply project related to blackouts in Sumatra, PT Asabri, and PT Krakatau Steel.

Public scrutiny has intensified after a raid on a cafe that is said to be affiliated with the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General's Office, Febrie Adriansyah.

"If I were you, I would just unpack it. One unpack, one unpack, let it be destroyed. Satan meets Satan," he said.
